Behindwoods : Screen play fails to engage the viewer and is ineffective. There is no exciting storyline. Kanimozhi falters and ends up as a soul-less affair.

Sify : Few filmmakers stick their necks out to tell difficult and different stories in these days of Made in Madurai films and mindless mass entertainers. For their intentions alone, the makers of Kanimozhi deserve a thumbs-up.
