This Diwali witnesses the clash of two young men of Tamil Nadu CM M. Karunanithi's hereditary. 6 movies are expected to release this diwali and of them Mynaa to be released by Udhayanithi stalin and Va Quarter Cutting to be released by Dhayanithi Azhagiri are the confirmed ones. If they go according to the planned, this will be the first time the two production houses Red Giant Movies and Cloud Nine movies will be releasing their movie on the same day!
Kalaignar TV, the main marketing channel for both the producers has already started the trailer campaigns for both the films during the ad intervals. Kalaignar TV, at the moment, is giving its share of importance equally. But it will be interesting how the channel gives its preferences to the movies, mainly in its weekly Top Ten.

So far, it has quite cleverly has given the no.1 position of the Top Ten Movies to the recently released movies regardingless of both Udhayanidhi and Dhayanidhi movies. When these two movies release on the same date this diwali, the channel is expected to chose one of these movie to give main preference. The No.1 position given by the TV channel obviously will gain importance and it will reflect in the future projects of Udhananidhi and Dhayanithi and the marketing strategies of these young producers.
It will not be a surprise, though, the channel gives both the movies No.1 position. Whatever the outcome, the channel is not going to give preference based on how the movie is but who is important for the channel for the future.

Taking a leaf out of the way Sun Pictures promoted Rajinikanth's Enthiran, leading producer Udhyanidhi Stalin and his Red Giants are going to promote Kamal Haasan's Manmadhan Ambu internationally.
As a part of the promotion, the audio launch of the film will be held in Singapore on November 20, at the Singapore Expo Auditorium.
The stars of the film Kamal Haasan, Trisha, Madhavan, Sangeeta and others will be present on the occasion along with director KS Ravikumar.
The previous day the Manmadhan Ambu cast along with 500 fans of Kamal will be going on a night cruise on 'Star Virgo', a cruise ship.
A live performance by Devi Sri Prasad, who will perform all the six songs from the album, will be another highlight at the audio launch. Later the audio launch will be telecast as a special programme on Kalaignar TV.

Producer Udhayanidhi Stalin of Red Giant Movies who has made cameo appearance before in Surya’s ‘Aadhavan’, is all set to make his début as a hero.
He will team up with director Rajesh who has delivered back-to-back hits ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’ and ‘Boss Engira Baskaran’.
The young producer, who wanted a powerful script to mark his début film as hero, was reportedly very impressed with the one-liner narrated by Rajesh.
The film may either be titled Oru Kal Oru Kannadi(Song from SMS) or Nanbenda(Santhanam’s dialogue in ‘Boss Engira Baskaran’), sources report. The film is touted to be a comic caper on the lines of BEB.
Even as the film is about to be launched, the problem is now to find a suitable heroine for Udhayanithi. Udhayanidhi wants Nayantara as his on-screen pair and Rajesh is also said to be in favour of Nayantara. Though Udhayanidhi is ready to pay whatever amount Nayan might demand, Prabhudeva had reportedly told them that ‘she won’t be starring in their film’ and has told them to look for another heroine.
When Rajesh and Udhayanidhi tried to sign up Asin as the heroine, they once again met with a less-than-enthusiastic response from her too!
