Mankatha- A Mega multi-starrer

Venkat Prabhu, after consulting a leading numerologist has decided to change the spelling of Ajith’s 50th film from Mangaatha to Mankatha.
Venkat says the spelling has been changed, as it now adds up to his lucky number five.
Mankatha is going to be a bi-lingual in Tamil and Telugu and the mother of all multi starrer’s. It will have Ajith, Telugu superstar Nagarjuna, Manoj Manchu, Ganesh Venkatraman, Premgi Amaran and newcomer Maahat. The heroines are yet to be confirmed, though Lakshmi Rai is likely to be part of the star cast.
Yuvan Shankar Raja is going to provide music for the film, which will start rolling in September in Chennai and later important scenes will be shot abroad.
Venkat Prabhu in an interview to a English daily has said: “ The film will be treated like on the lines of Bourne Identity. The audiences will see dry land, snowfalls, lush green fields and buzzing traffic in every alternative frame.”
Venkat and Yuvan are now busy preparing the three minute teaser trailer of Mankatha, which will be shown along with producer Dayanidhi Alagiri’s Naan Mahaan Alla, releasing on August 20.
