Written and Directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja, Aaranya Kaandam stars Jackie Shroff, in his first Tamil film, Ravi Krishna, Sampath Raj and debutante Yasmin Ponnappa in the lead roles. Jackie Shroff is a reputed Indian actor who has acted in over 170 films and has been nominated eight times for filmfare and won three of them. He has won Filmfare best actor award for his role in Parinda.
